The new iRIDE Scooter from Pride Mobility Products is now available, according to a news release from the Exeter, Pa-based company.

The iRIDE features an ultra-lightweight aluminum frame, an air-safe lithium-ion battery pack, and brushless motor technology for easy travel and quiet operation, as well as a height-adjustable, removable seat with a foldable tiller.

Other features include a digital LCD display, a manual hand brake, a supplemental foot brake, a twist grip throttle, an easy-to-grip tiller adjustment knob, an on/off switch and five color options.

“Combining an aluminum frame, lithium batteries and brushless motors on a single unit was new territory for us, but we got the job done and created a product that is truly unique. Pride consumers deserve to have a portable scooter that matches their active lifestyles and features exciting colors, while delivering more stability than a simple two-wheel scooter. The iRIDE is a mobility aid that will keep people active, but without a medical look.”

— Adam Fuller, Director of Pride Mobility Research and Development

Renae Storie, Vice President of Pride Mobility, notes in the release that the iRIDE is unlike any scooter Pride has ever made.

“The iRIDE isn’t what most people visualize when they picture a mobility scooter. It is not bulky or heavy, and appears to be somewhat like a commuter scooter. It has a sleek, modern, extremely lightweight design that compliments but does not stand out. Weighing just over 46 pounds and having air-safe lithium ion batteries, the iRIDE can go almost anywhere. We’ve already had a fantastic response to this product before it even launched and anticipate it to become a popular retail choice.”
