Numotion announces a 3-year partnership with Jim Craig—goalie for the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” US Olympic Gold Medal-winning Hockey Team—to create motivational content and to create awareness for issues experienced by those living with disabilities.

“I am honored to have a spokesperson as well regarded as Jim align with Numotion and our efforts to assist customers to more actively participate in everyday life,” says Mike Swinford, CEO of Numotion, in a media release.

“Jim’s passion for improving the lives of others by sharing his experiences will help inspire our customers, and others, that their dreams are possible.”

Craig first became involved with Numotion when he was invited to speak at the company’s annual National Leadership Conference. The relationship further developed through advocacy efforts in Washington, DC, when Craig accompanied Numotion leadership to Capitol Hill to help shine a light on the importance of complex rehab technology. Through those efforts he learned the unique challenges faced by those with mobility issues and wanted to help, the release adds.

“In my years as a motivational speaker I’ve learned that the power of dreaming, setting goals, and having determination does indeed make a difference in a person’s outlook on life,” Craig states. “There’s power in hope, and I look forward to bringing just that to Numotion’s customers, employees, and anyone faced with challenges.”

Craig will share insights and experiences regarding overcoming the odds to achieve one’s dreams, and inspiring stories surrounding the upcoming Winter Olympics and Paralympics, via videos and blog posts on Numotion’s website, as well as its social media channels.

After the Olympics, Craig played in the National Hockey League until he experienced a career-ending injury. He is now president and owner of Gold Medal Strategies, a motivational speaking and training company.
