Preferred Therapy Providers Inc Vice President, Christy Beauchamp, passed away February 13 after a brief illness, according to a statement issued today by company president, Steven Allred.

For a period of nearly 20 years Beauchamp assisted company founder, Jaxene Hillebert, in building Preferred Therapy Providers as a centrally managed contract resource that represents more than 1,200 private practice physical, occupational, and speech therapy practices across the United States, according to Allred’s statement. Following Hillebert’s retirement Beauchamp remained with the company as vice president.

Beauchamp was an active member of the American Association of Preferred Provider Organizations (AAPPO) and the National Association of Specialty Health Organizations (NASHO). She also participated on several committees, served as chairperson of Rules, Bylaws and Nominations for NASHO, and was on the Board of Directors of the AAPPO Pacific Regional Chapter. According to Allred’s statement Beauchamp successfully negotiated contracts for and developed strong relationships with both payors and providers.

Beauchamp is survived by her daughter, Cassidy, as well as her mother, sister, and extended family.
