Education Resources Inc offers “Evidence Based Cancer Rehabilitation and Its Role in Cancer Survivorship,” targeted for physical therapists, occupational therapists and others who provide oncology rehabilitation services.

During the course, instructor Lisa VanHoose, PhD, MPH, PT, CLT-LANA, CKTP—president of the Oncology Section of the American Physical Therapy Association—will teach evidence-based tools and strategies to help attendees care for the physical side effects of cancer treatment. These side effects could include fatigue, neuropathy, muscle weakness, and/or balance defects.

The course will also address functional outcome measures and reimbursement concerns, per a media release from Education Resources Inc.

Participants will have the opportunity to earn up to 18 continuing education hours.

The course will be offered: August 26-27 at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills, Calif; September 23-24 at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains, NY; and October 28-29 at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, Mass, according to the release.
