Van Nuys, Calif-based nonprofit organization Global Mobility USA announces a partnership with Team Gleason of the Gleason Initiative Foundation to provide wheelchairs to children in Guatamala.

Global Mobility will hold a wheelchair fitting and seating clinic July 12-13 in Escuintla, Guatemala. A $6,000 donation from Team Gleason to Global Mobility will help provide 20 wheelchairs for the Guatemalan children, per a media release from Global Mobility USA.

“The joint effort between Global Mobility and Team Gleason is an excellent example of how two like-minded organizations can work together to give the gift of ability to those in need,” says Chris Grange, COO of Global Mobility USA, in the release.

“We are deeply thankful for Team Gleason’s generosity to our efforts in Guatemala and commend their commitment to providing leading-edge technologies to individuals with neuromuscular diseases,” he adds.

“We are incredibly proud to join Global Mobility in helping children regain a sense of independence through the gift of wheelchairs,” states Blair Casey, Team Gleason’s director of technology and general manager, in the release.

Global Mobility USA provides free wheelchairs to children and adults in need around the world. Team Gleason raises funds for ALS patients and generates public awareness for ALS.
