Free Form Seating Back Kits, from Symmetric Designs Ltd, Salt Spring Island, BC, Canada, are now available in bariatric options, for wheelchairs up to 24 inches wide.
The XL Free Form Back Kit is for 20-inch to 22-inch wheelchair widths, and the XXL Free Form Back Kit is for 22-inch to 24-inch widths.
These custom moldable back supports, designed to offer extra reinforcement for larger clients who need customized positioning, come standard with a Stimulite cover allowing for air, heat and moisture dissipation. The Stimulite cover also retains its honeycomb structure and pressure redistribution qualities, even with prolonged and high compression.
Each XL and XXL Back Kit includes additional mounts and alloy 2-balls for extra reinforcement.
