UF Health announces an “interim management services agreement” with Select Medical has begun to assist with the operation of UF Health Shands Rehab Hospital.
According to a media release from UF Health, the interim management agreement is expected to last through the end of 2016 and into 2017. Long-term plans are that Select Medical and UF Health will share ownership of the hospital, and that Select Medical will oversee its operation.
The long-term plans will include a detailed transition plan that will address issues of capacity, private patient rooms, and other facility needs.
UF Health and Select Medical are now also co-owners of Select Specialty Hospital—Gainesville, per the release.
