Members of Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare’s clinical support team are participating in panel discussions regarding topics affecting the DME industry October 15 and 17 during the upcoming Medtrade in Atlanta.

On October 15 at 3:15 pm, Karen Lerner, RN, MSN, ATP and CWS, regional VP of pressure prevention; Tony Crisitello, senior VP of long-term care; and other industry experts will speak at the session titled, “Get into the Stretch Zone: Why Aren’t You Renting and Selling to Your local LTC and SNFs?” This session will cover the importance of the long-term care community having access to DME. This access will provide improved mental and physical health, ambulation, comfort and welfare for residents.

On October 17 at 9 am, panelists Daniel O’Malley, regional VP of pressure prevention sales; John Zelczak, BS, RRT, CPFT, regional VP of respiratory sales; moderator Karen Lerner; and other industry experts will cover how to differentiate your brand and gain business by influencing clinical outcomes in the session titled, “Become a Triple Threat: Driving Down Cost While Improving Clinical Outcomes and Patient Satisfaction.” The speakers will discuss learning the cost and benefit of becoming consultative partners to referrals and payors.

“The conference panel discussions are a value-added benefit for both the attendee and the panel hosts,” Lerner says. “The transfer of knowledge that occurs enables the panel experts to understand the needs of the industry, and the attendees to understand the available solutions that will improve patient outcomes.”

On October 17 at 1:30 pm, panelists Joe Lewarski, MHA, RRT, FAARC, SVP/GM global business-clinical care; Mitch Yoel, SVP of global commercial operations; David Pugh, regional VP of respiratory sales; moderator Vanessa Saltmarsh, VP of clinical services; and other industry experts will cover the benefits and trade-offs of current oxygen modalities with key industry stakeholders. During the session titled, “Putting ‘Care’ Back in HomeCare: Optimizing Oxygen Modality Selection,” they will discuss the best practices in balancing patient wants, improving operational expenses, and securing positive clinical outcomes.
