The Aquila Corporation, manufacturer of the Airpulse PK™ wheelchair cushion system, has completed its move of its office and production components from Albert Lea, Minn, to a new facility in La Crosse, Wis. The move was necessitated by both company growth and the plan to establish a strategic location closer to key medical facilities.

“Our business, especially as it relates to our flagship product, the Airpulse PK, continues to experience steady growth,” says company president, Steve Kohlman. “The new facility allows us flexibility for expansion in the future. Our new location also is in close proximity to key medical and rehab facilities, which will be important for continued product evaluation and study.”

The Airpulse PK is an automated wheelchair cushion system that helps in both the healing and prevention of pressure sores. The system allows the patient or caregiver to control the pressure and cycle time of the alternating air cells by changing settings on the micro-processor.

“The Airpulse PK continues to provide our customers with the ability to stay sitting longer and improve their quality of life”, Kohlman says. “Our business motto is ‘Because We Care.’ We take our customer’s health seriously and constantly look to improve both our products and services.”
