Pride Mobility Products Corp. has announced the Quantum division’s latest addition, Mike McCarthy, ATS, will assume the role of national sales manager for manual whheelchairs and Synergy seating products.
McCarthy moves into the position with more than 15 years of hands-on field experience in seating and mobility products, focused largely on custom manual wheelchairs, according to Pride. McCarthy’s expertise as a rehab specialist and provider, Pride reports, was gained while McCarthy worked in the Philadelphia market for National Seating and Mobility. He has worked extensively with adult and pediatric clients with brain injuries, CP, progressive neurological disorders, developmental disabilities, and pressure sore management. McCarthy is also certified as an Assistive Technology Supplier.
At the new post McCarthy will reportedly be assigned to work closely with research and development efforts, overseeing all product and accessory development, as well as integrating with the sales force to effectively strengthen Quantum Rehab’s manual wheelchair line. Initially McCarthy will work out of Pride’s headquarters to identify the product and accessory development necessary for the existing seating and manual wheelchair products available from the company’s Quantum division.

The move to add McCarthy is intended to enhance Quantum’s ability to address the market in a manner that will significantly benefit Pride’s manual wheelchair and seating products and enhance provider relations, a Pride news release explains.
Pride Mobility Products Corp. designs and manufactures mobility products including power chairs, scooters, lift chairs and vehicle lift systems.
