The Messe Düsseldorf Group is re-focusing its activities on the health market in Brazil and will organize the first Medical Fair Brasil from September 16 – 17, 2020, at the Expo Center Norte in Sao Paulo.

By changing the original May 5 – 8 date to September 2020 and reducing the duration of the trade fair from 3 to 2 days, the organizers are responding to the global effects of COVID-19. The event will be organized by the Brazilian medical device technology association ABIMO, Messe Düsseldorf and its foreign representation (EMME) in Brazil.

“The Corona pandemic unfortunately does not allow us to hold Medical Fair Brasil on the original dates in early May 2020. Due to the given circumstances we will shorten the trade fair to 2 days, thereby responding to the exhibitors’ wishes to have a compact event held in September,” Horst Giesen, Global Portfolio Director Health & Medical Technologies at Messe Düsseldorf, explains in a news release.

Key exhibit categories at Medical Fair Brasil are: Medical technology / medical products, laboratory technology and diagnostics, health IT, physiotherapy and orthopedic technology as well as medical services. The trade fair primarily addresses physicians, medical professionals and managers of health institutions as well as health industry service suppliers and experts in the fields of science, politics, trade and industry.

The organizers expect more than 150 exhibitors presenting their innovations and services to some 12,000 trade visitors at Medical Fair Brasil 2020. The exhibits will be complemented by lectures on health-related topics and round table discussions.
