Butler Mobility Products, Lewisberry, Pa, reports that it was recently recertified for its Inclined Platform Lift power unit. The certification approval came in March of this year, according to a company news release, and the power unit is now certified for ASME A 17.5 / CSA B44.1-11, meeting approved standards for elevator and escalator electrical equipment.

Butler notes that it added a heavy-duty 12-volt power cord and axle shield to the unit for enhanced safety.

The release notes that the company chose MET Laboratories to conduct the testing thanks to the organization’s national recognition. The power unit was reportedly tested using a standard set of Butler IPL rails and folding front load platform. The entire unit was subjected to testing, cycling for 3 hours of continuous operation under a 750-pound load at 25% duty cycle.

The release adds that Butler is proud to have joined with MET Laboratories to bring its customers a product designed to provide dependability and confident installation.
