Craig Hospital, Englewood, Colo, has announced in a recent news release that Olympic swimmer Amy Van Dyken-Rouen is scheduled to be discharged August 14.
Van Dyken-Rouen was initially transported to Craig Hospital in June from Scottsdale Healthcare Osborne Medical Center to begin comprehensive rehabilitation for her spinal cord injury (SCI). Van Dyken-Rouen sustained her SCI following an ATV accident.
A press conference will be held at noon MDT, allowing a brief opportunity for media to photograph/videotape Van Dyken-Rouen during her departure, and ask questions, according to the release from the hospital.
Van Dyken-Rouen will answer questions in the Therapeutic Recreation room of Craig Hospital, in the East Building. Members of the media planning to attend should arrive early and meet in the East Building’s lobby. The event is intended for media only and is not open to the general public.
