Summary
ACHC is offering Certified Accreditation Professional (CAP) training sessions in November, allowing healthcare professionals to enhance their expertise in accreditation requirements for DMEPOS, hospice, and specialty pharmacy through ACHCU’s virtual, live courses.
Key Takeaways
- Focused Learning: The CAP training provides specialized knowledge in DMEPOS, hospice, and specialty pharmacy, enhancing individual expertise in accreditation.
- Professional Impact: Completing CAP certification elevates professionals’ roles in accreditation and quality patient care, contributing value to their organizations.
- Renewable Certification: CAP certification is valid for three years, offering continuing education credits for professionals who maintain and renew their credentials.
This month, healthcare professionals will have the opportunity to enhance their expertise through Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) Certified Accreditation Professional (CAP) training. Designed to provide individual professionals with deeper knowledge in specified areas, including durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and supplies (DMEPOS); hospice; and specialty pharmacy, CAP training through ACHCU, the education branch of ACHC, solidifies mastery of knowledge related to accreditation requirements, creating a solid framework for organizational improvement and quality patient care.
“This targeted training equips individuals with advanced knowledge and skills, enhancing their professional impact while simultaneously contributing valuable merit to their affiliated organizations,” says Greg Stowell, ACHC director of education and training. “With the growing demand for skillful coordination of accreditation requirements across an organization, we’re proud to offer certification to those professionals dedicated to going above and beyond.”
In November, ACHC will be offering three one-day, live virtual CAP training sessions:
· DMEPOS – 12:30-5 p.m. ET Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Includes a prerecorded webinar to watch before the live event.
· Hospice – 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Nursing contact hours are available.
· Specialty Pharmacy – 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET Thursday, November 21, 2024.
Offered exclusively for select ACHC accreditation offerings, CAP training requires participants to successfully complete the course and pass a rigorous exam for the relevant program. Individual certification is valid for three years and is renewable, and continuing education credits are available for designated programs.
