Vantage Mobility International (VMI) has announced the availability of a manual side entry in-floor ramp conversion for the Dodge Caravan. The Northstar E will be available for purchase starting May 1 from more than 265 VMI dealers worldwide, according to a company news release.
The Northstar E manual in-floor ramp system features include a full-cut floor and removable passenger seat, intended to allow a wheelchair user to sit next to the driver. The manual in-floor ramp can be stowed and deployed without bending over. The company adds that the in-floor ramp also keeps the doorway clear when stowed and offers added interior space for wheelchair maneuverability. Mid-row seats are optional for increased passenger capacity and alternative seating options.
