Sunrise Medical, Fresno, Calif, further configures its new QUICKIE Nitrum ultra-light wheelchair with additional options, it announces.

The new dual tube Hybrid Frame offers high rigidity and strength, and the new fixed Active Rigid option offers ultra-light weight. These features are in addition to its patented caster link, Twist-Lock backrest, and ovalized ShapeLoc frame technologies.

36 Frame Solutions

With the extended Nitrum configuration range, Sunrise Medical now offers 36 frame solutions in total as well as an extensive color selection.

  1. QUICKIE Nitrum – Minimalistic open frame; light weight at 10.8 lbs; full range of adjustability; user weight capacity of 275 lbs
  2. NEW QUICKIE Nitrum Hybrid –Ultra rigid, dual tube frame; 12.8 lbs, full range of adjustability, user weight capacity of 300 lbs

NEW Active Rigid Option available on both frames –Optional fixed welded backrest and axle stems save even more weight, increase frame stiffness, and reduce moving parts.

Personalization Options

Those who wish to personalize their own Nitrum can now select from all the available options and colors with a 3D Visualizer offered on the Sunrise Medical website. Sunrise Medical also offers users an augmented reality (AR) application, which makes it possible to display various pre-set wheelchair options in the user’s real life environment.
