New technology enhancements to the iLevel line of power wheelchairs from Quantum Rehab include 12 inches of lift and LED fender lights to further increase users’ independence.
These enhancements were achieved as the result of feedback and demand from customers, according to the company.
“The feedback on iLevel has been astounding over the past 2 years, especially in how it exponentially increases users’ independence,” shares Megan Kutch, director of Quantum Marketing, in a media release from the Duryea, Pa-based company.
As a result, she notes, beginning May 1, iLevel on the Q6 Edge 2.0 will now have 12 inches of vertical lift, 2 inches more than the previous version.
“The 12-inch iLevel height places most users within the median human standing height, increasing environmental access,” Kutch explains. “Allowing most users to now elevate to between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches adds additional accessibility when participating in their activities of daily living.”
Allowing for the 12-inch iLevel enhancement is its patented Extra Stability Technology, which mechanically stabilizes the power base when elevated and allows walking speeds over varied terrain of up to 3.5 mph.
Additionally, the release adds, LED headlights and tail lights integrated into the fenders will now be standard when ordered with iLevel technology on the Q6 Edge 2.0 to enhance visibility during active outdoor use.
“We’ve heard the increased functionality and usage that iLevel brings to its users, with extra stability and safety, and want to ensure that we continue to deliver enhancements and features that maximize independence,” Kutch continues.
