Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare announces the addition of the Silver Sport VI Heavy Duty Wheelchair to its Silver Sport Wheelchair Line.
The Silver Sport VI is Drive’s first wheelchair with a 300-pound weight capacity on all models, and it is reimbursable under the K0006 reimbursement code.
“This reimbursement code, which reimburses $450 on average nationwide, fits a unique demographic of wheelchair users with the weight capacity range between 250 and 300 lbs,” says Brandon Sykes, product manager – power and manual wheelchairs at Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare, in a media release from the Port Washington, NY-based company.
“It provides an opportunity for the provider to improve profitability in today’s market,” he adds.
Available features include an 18-inch or 20-inch seat widths with detachable full-length or desk armrests and elevating or swing-away footrests with tool-free adjustable length riggings. Other features include durable urethane tires on composite wheels, push-to-lock wheel locks, eight front casters, dual-axle positions for seat-to-floor height adjustments, embossed vinyl upholstery, a powder-coated reinforced steel frame, and a limited lifetime warranty.
