Champaign, Ill-based IntelliWheels now offers Chiba Wheelchair Gloves, which are designed specifically for wheelchair users to help meet the demands of constant pushing, braking, and turning.

Three models are available, according to the company:

ARGON Gloves feature a top hand made from Lycra, a palm hand and trim made from leather, and a thumb and top hand made from terry cloth for better perspiration control. Additional features include a Velcro snap for wrist closure, an assist mechanism for easy pull-on and pull-off, and ergonomic gel cushions to help protect the carpal and ulnar nerves and help prevent hand fatigue.

GEL PROTECT PRO Gloves feature a top hand made from Spantex, a palm hand made from Clarino, a palm hand reinforced with Kevlar, and thumbs made from terry cloth. The Gloves also feature a Neoprone wrist closure, Powernet between the fingers for breathability, and gel cushions to protect the carpal tunnels and reduce hand fatigue.

GEL PROTECT PREMIUM KEVLAR Gloves, with a full thumb and longer fingers, have an elastic top hand, a palm hand made from Clarino and silicone print, and a reinforced thumb and palmhand made from siliconized Kevlar. Ergonomic gel pads help protect the carpal tunnel and other nerves, to prevent numbness and absorb vibrations.
