The National Republican Congressional Committtee selected Shashank Arya, MD, as their 2006 Physician of the Year Honoree. The award was presented to Arya March 15 at the 2007 National Republican Congressional Committee Republican Business Summit.
Arya is a specialist in sports medicine, spine, electrodiagnostics and orthopedic rehabilitation and director of rehabilitation at Casa Colina Center for Rehabilitation in Pomona, Calif.
