Sunrise Medical, Longmont, Colo, introduces new design enhancements for the Quickie® adult manual wheelchair rigid and folding families: the Quickie® GT, GTi, and Quickie 2.
“We pride ourselves in our end-user and clinical research that raises the bar in innovative wheelchair design and manufacturing," says Joe Klickna, Quickie adult manual product manager. "We are excited to further demonstrate this commitment through our Quickie 2, GT, and GTi product introductions.”
Combining performance and innovation, the GT and GTi are helping to redefine the ultra lightweight rigid wheelchair market. Adjustable to the users’ specifications, they allow for multiple modifications and offer many lifestyle options.

The new options include eight Kolorfusion colors, anodized color packages, and Case Logic® storage accessories.
The Quickie 2 family features versatile, modular, and lightweight folding wheelchairs with features to fit users’ needs. The Quickie 2 Lite, introduced in fall 2008, is a lightweight, simple package that offers an ideal option mix for active users. It has offered more than 64,000 configurations to meet a range of needs. New, lightweight innovations have been added to the traditional frame design, including Q-fit living springs, the new Lite Spoke wheel, and new swing-in, swing-out hangers.
