MedRisk international scientific advisory board (ISAB) member Chris Main, PhD, has recently been named an Honorary Member of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP).

According to King of Prussia, Pa-based MedRisk, this is the highest honor IASP bestows on a member, and it reflects his outstanding contributions to the fields of pain research and management and to the organization.

Main, a former (and now emeritus) professor of clinical psychology at Keele University in Staffordshire, Great Britain, has expertise focused on the biopsychosocial approach to pain management and on managing pain in the workplace.

Among his coauthored works are more than 200 books, monographs, reports, and peer-reviewed articles. He has been part of MedRisk’s ISAB since 1999.

“Chris is a world-renown expert in pain management and deserving of this recognition. We are fortunate to have him on our scientific advisory board,” says MedRisk CEO Shelley Boyce, in a media release.
