Wheelchair racers, runners, and families will have the opportunity to participate and compete in the 11th Annual Stroll ‘N Roll (and RUN!), October 21, reports a Kessler Foundation news release. The event is designed to benefit individuals with disabilities and is hosted by Kessler Foundation, West Orange, NJ.

The release notes that the event’s ambassadors include former Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand, Miss NJ Teen US Kendal Barrett, and Miss Wheelchair NJ Kim Biglin. Runners and wheelchair racers have the option to compete in USATF-certified 5K or 10K courses, while other participants can “stroll or roll” in the family-fun 5K around Brookdale Park in Bloomfield and Montclair, NJ.

Kessler Foundation adds that Stroll ‘N Roll (and RUN!) will also feature a Kids Activity Zone and an Information Alley, comprised of exhibit booths from local businesses, sponsors, and disability service representatives. The release also notes that celebrities and public officials are expected to attend the event.

The Foundation reports that all proceeds from the event will go to support its rehabilitation research, disability employment initiatives, and the NJ chapter of ThinkFirst, a national injury prevention program for kindergarten through high school seniors.
