The preparations for the MEDICA 2021 medical trade fair and COMPAMED 2021, an international event for medical technology suppliers, are in full swing. Both events will take place concurrently from November 15 – 18, 2021, in-person at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany, and also will be accessible online.

The leading experts and decision-makers in the healthcare industry are clearly committed to attending the events in anticipation of the live experience. In a recent survey of several thousand international visitors at previous MEDICA + COMPAMED stagings, three quarters stated their intention to visit this year’s trade fairs.

With a specific focus on Germany and neighboring European countries, these visit are firmly planned – with three quarters of the survey participants from the DACH region and the Benelux countries with particularly easy travel options planning  to come to Düsseldorf.

The medical technology industry is equally positive about the two trade fairs, Messe Düsseldorf North America explains in a news release.

“Our partners and the trade associations stand firmly behind the trade fairs and appreciate the value of in-person events. The exhibitors are very interested in participating and are delighted to see all of the important industry decision-makers and exchange ideas in real life again in Düsseldorf, after so many months of exclusively digital contact with business partners and potential customers.”

On-Site vs Online

At MEDICA and COMPAMED 2021, exhibitors will present their comprehensive portfolios of medical products, devices and instruments, including all stages in their development, production and distribution processes.

Based on the experience with both trade fairs  held completely virtually in November 2020 (with a total of 45,000 unique users from around 170 nations and 405,000 page views) due to the COVID-19 pandemic, program components that are in particularly high demand will not only be offered on-site but will also be accessible online via a simple ticketing system.

This applies for the forums which are integrated into the themed segments of the trade fair such as the MEDICA CONNECTED HEALTHCARE FORUM (including the MEDICA Start-up COMPETITION and the Healthcare Innovation World Cup), the MEDICA HEALTH IT FORUM, the MEDICA TECH FORUM, the MEDICA LABMED FORUM and the MEDICA ECON FORUM by Messe Düsseldorf and the Techniker Krankenkasse (TK, a German health insurance company).

At COMPAMED, the following forums are on the agenda: the COMPAMED HIGH-TECH FORUM by IVAM with a special focus on the microtechnology and nanotechnology sectors as well as the COMPAMED SUPPLIERS FORUM by DeviceMed, with focus on the entire development and manufacturing field, the release continues.

These highlights will be accompanied by numerous stage programs in the middle of the trade show action. Participants with the relevant tickets can follow these lectures and discussions simultaneous via livestream at www.medica-tradefair.com and www.compamed-tradefair.com.
