Online education provider 2U Inc announces the launch of an advanced clinical doctoral degree in occupational therapy, set to begin in fall 2017.

The program will be conducted via 2U Inc’s current partner New York University through the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.

Per a media release from 2U Inc, the program’s estimated start date is September 2017.

The new occupational therapy program is among new degree verticals and new programs that the provider is offering in 2017.

“Our 2017 program launch schedule for 10 new programs is now finalized and includes three new university partners for 2U,” says Chip Paucek, CEO and co-founder of 2U, in the release.

“Additionally, of the 10 programs expected to launch in 2017, four are in new degree verticals and six are in multiple program verticals. This reflects our strategy to launch new verticals necessary for the long-term expansion of our business balanced with the launch of additional programs in existing degrees to drive efficiencies.”
