United Seating & Mobility, a provider of comprehensive seating and mobility solutions for people with disabilities, acquired Atlanta-based On the Go Medical on May 24, 2007.
"United Seating and Mobility is a company that has grown very large, yet their clients remain the driving force behind what they do. They have a good name and a good reputation. I knew this merge would only better serve my customers and that my employees would be protected," Tom Schratweizer founder of On the Go Medical says.
"Since the acquisition, the ability to reach more customers for in-home evaluations, service calls and delivery has grown tremendously. It’s also beneficial to payers and the medical community, since United Seating and Mobility, which has 26 locations in 11 states, has extensive knowledge of billing and insurance questions and claims." Schratweizer adds.
United Seating and Mobility is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc, and is a member of the Midwest Association for Medical Equipment Services, The Pacific Association for Medical Equipment Services, The MED Group, Wheelchair Professionals and the American Association for Homecare’s Rehab and Assistive Technology Council.
