Sunrise Medical, Fresno, Calif, announces the appointment of Thomas Babacan as its new president and CEO. His tenure with the company will begin on November 1.
Prior to joining Sunrise Medical, he was the CEO of AHT Cooling Systems, a global leading producer for commercial refrigeration and freezing systems. Prior to that, he was appointed CEO at the water solutions manufacturer VAG-Group.
Babacan has also held several leadership positions, including CEO of Leybold Vacuum, CEO of Oerlikon Textile, and COO for OC Oerlikon, a stock listed manufacturing technology company, according to a news release from Sunrise Medical.
“In Thomas Babacan, Sunrise Medical has found a president and CEO who in his previous positions has demonstrated strong leadership and strategic skills. Thomas, with his global sales and operations experience, is well suited to lead Sunrise Medical on its ambitious growth journey,” says Johan Ek, chairman of Sunrise Medical, in the release.
