A focus of REHACARE International 2016, which will take place September 28 to October 1 in Düsseldorf, Germany, will be a new motor show.

The motor show—reportedly the first one to take place at a rehabilitation fair—will occupy Hall 6 and will feature customized car conversions and installations for disabled drivers from 30 specialist suppliers.

The REHACARE event will feature more than 400 exhibitors presenting mobility and everyday aids, aids for care and communication equipment, vehicles, sports activities for the disabled, as well as ideas for accessible homes, leisure, and travel, according to a media release from Messe Düsseldorf North America.

In addition to exhibitors, the event will include a REHACARE Forum to address current topics, the theme park “People with Disabilities at Work” to address employment issues and opportunities for people with disabilities, and the forum “Living Care@Home” to speak about subjects of interest to professional and family caregivers.

More choices for event-goers include a presentation on accessible house construction and at-home living by the German Society for Gerontechnology, exhibits devoted to people with sensory disabilities and limited motor skills, and a Sports Center with sports activities for the disabled, per the release.

“The six available exhibition halls are fully booked. Visitors can expect a top international event, with almost 50% of exhibitors coming from abroad,” says Joachim Schäfer, managing director of Messe Düsseldorf, in the release.

“From the leading players in the industry to many small and medium-size companies serving special segments, REHACE will bring together all those who offer competitive solutions in the worldwide market,” Schäfer adds.
