MyndTec announces it has received FDA 510(k) clearance to market MyndMove, a functional electrical stimulation (FES)-based therapy to help those with upper limb paralysis improve voluntary control of their arms and hands, in the US.

“This is a major milestone in the evolution of our company,” says MyndTec Founder Dr Milos R. Popovic, in a media release from the Mississauga, Ontario, Canada-based company.

“We are delighted that we can now offer this life-changing therapy to patients in the US with upper extremity paralysis,” he adds.

The therapy system features more than 30 FES protocols that therapists can use to help enable meaningful controlled movements.
