Ottobock OA-Restore-BraceMinneapolis, Minn-based company Ottobock has launched a new OA Restore Brace recently introduced by its Orthopedic Division. The brace is engineered to provide non-surgical relief patients with mild to moderate medial or lateral osteoarthritis (OA), as well as individuals who have OA in combination with ligament instability.

The company notes that the product features a hinge design intended to distribute load more effectively for stabilization and what Ottobock designates as an, “easy-to-tolerate corrective force.” Ottobock adds that its focus within the product centered on addressing issues that have been reported to impede treatment of OA, such as clinical obesity and difficulty tolerating corrective force to effectively reduce pain and improve mobility in patients.

Gaurav Mishra, VP Global Sales and US Orthopedic Division head, Ottobock, reports that the company’s goal centers on assisting patients in living everyday life and adds, “we’re seeing those results with the OA Restore…it’s rewarding to be able to measure that positive impact on quality of life,” Mishra says.
