Mike Swinford has been announced as Numotion’s new CEO, effective July 28. The announcement came from the company’s Board of Directors, according to a news release issued by Numotion.
The release notes that Swinford joins Numotion as CEO following a 22-year career at GE, where he worked primarily for GE Healthcare Services, reportedly running businesses ranging from $200 million in annual revenue to more than $5 million. His most recent position, the release adds, was as president and CEO of GE Healthcare Global Services.
Swinford articulates his excitement in joining Numotion: “I look forward to helping our employees continue and enhance the great service we provide to our customers, their families, and our referral sources. The company’s mission and growth opportunities are the principal reasons I joined the Numotion team,” Swinford emphasizes.
Numotion specializes in providing mobility solutions for individuals with complex medical mobility limitations.
Bob Gouy, another Numotion director, states, “Mike’s energy and passion around our mission and his leadership skills will serve us well as Numotion and our industry face the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing healthcare environment.”
Paul Bergantino, former Numotion CEO, will remain with the company as a consultant during the transition, according to the release.
Tim Burfield, a Numotion director, adds that Bergantino’s leadership and contributions, particularly during the merger of ATG Rehab and United Seating & Mobility, are greatly appreciated.
“This is a time of significant growth for our company, and we look forward to the addition of Mike to our team, as he has a demonstrated ability to grow and lead multi-location, service-based businesses,” Burfield says.
