Adam Equipment, Oxford, Conn, announces the availability of its MCW300L health and fitness scale, engineered to gather weight and BMI measurements of people with limited mobility.

The MCL is designed to allow patients who are unable to stand to remain seated during the weighing process.

It features armrests that can be raised to help individuals to get in and out of the chair easily; swivel wheels to help maneuver the chair into the ideal location to accommodate a patient; and a built-in battery to eliminate the tripping hazards from plugging a cord into a wall.

The scale’s color-coded sealed keypad features a hold function, BMI, tare button, and a large, backlit LED display. It has a maximum capacity of 300kg and a readability of 0.05kg.

Weight is measured in kilograms or pounds, and the MCW 300L features the ability to perform body mass index (BMI) measurements. Its RS-232 interface allows for communication between the scale and computers, simplifying the process of logging and recording results, according to a media release from Adam Equipment.
