Nonprofit organization RespectAbility is accepting applications for a leadership program director, as well as participants in its National Leadership Program.

The leadership program director works directly with young professionals to develop their skills and launch their careers in policy, communications, or media. In addition, the director is responsible for recruiting Fellows, providing accommodations, and overseeing a program of guest speakers and work that will have a national impact to fight stigmas and advance opportunities for people with disabilities, according to a media release from RespectAbility.

National Leadership Program fellowships are available for the Spring, Summer, and Fall 2017 cohorts in such areas as public policy, strategic communications, religious inclusion, and nonprofit development. Fellows receive access to high-level guest speakers, personalized skills training, and the chance to work on serious projects that can advance RespectAbility’s mission.

According to RespectAbility, its mission is to reshape the attitudes of American society so that people with disabilities can more fully participate in and contribute to society; and to empower people with disabilities to achieve as much of the American dream as their abilities and efforts permit.
