Warrenville, Ill-headquartered Patterson Medical introduces the Rolyan Smart Handle, directed toward the needs of elastic band therapy. Smart Handle was created to remove the guesswork from elastic band exercise by delivering real-time feedback and objective measurement.
According to a media release from Patterson Medical, the Smart Handle is a product exclusive to the company, and designed to removes limitations that can come with conventional band therapy, such as variability in subjective measurement, absence of quantifiable feedback, and lack of safety. Smart Handle includes a digital display to show force exerted and repetitions completed in pounds or kilograms. This feature can also be convenient for documenting patient progress. Audio and visual alerts indicate when the target is reached to provide instant motivation and to keep patients from exceeding a safe range of motion.
Two models are available: the Smart Handle and the Smart Handle Pro, which features Bluetooth transmission capability and the Rolyan Smart Handle App — for downloading and documenting patient progress on the go. Each includes a Smart Handle anchor, extremity loop, door anchor, carrying case, and USB charger.
