Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) has scheduled a special event to acquaint residents of Metropolitan Los Angeles’ South Bay area with CCI’s services. A breakfast hosted by CCI for “A Good Dog Morning,” February 26, will provide the community and opportunity to meet CCI graduates, puppy raisers and friends.

“We want to re-introduce our organization and expand our circle of supporters as well as reach out to those who might be candidates for our services,” says Annie Scott, CCI’s Southwest Regional Development Associate.

“A Good Dog Morning” will be 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., February 26 at 300 North Harbor Drive Redondo Beach, Calif. Those interested in attending should reply to (760) 901-4306 by  February 22.

Canine Companions for Independence is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support  to ensure quality partnerships. In the Southwest Region CCI is represented by: 246 active graduate teams,  227 volunteer puppy raisers, 550 volunteers, 2,046 Contributors (in 2007), and 37 active applicants.
