A multidisciplinary group of 18 health and science professionals from five different nations are among those appointed to the Performance Health 2015 Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC). The group convenes annually to present research findings associated with several of the products offered by Akron, Ohio-based Performance Health.
Phil Page, PhD, PT, ATC, CSCS, Global Director of Clinical Education and Research for Performance Health, says that last year’s members published more than 22 papers and abstracts, including nine collaborative projects, during a 12-month period. “Over the past 16 years, we have built tremendous synergy among prominent professionals with varied experiences, training, and backgrounds. This diversity ensures a balanced blend of clinical and research data, and exposes different points of view from various disciplines and cultures,” Page notes in a media release from Performance Health.
Members of the Scientific Advisory Committee reportedly address new findings relative to TheraBand, Biofreeze, and Cramer Sports medicine products at the yearly gathering of the TheraBand Research Advisory Committee, also known as TRAC.
“I’m very proud of the distinguished group serving as our advisory committee, now in its seventeenth year,” Page says.
