In her new post as executive director of the Foundation for Physical Therapy, Alexandria, Va, Barbara Malm, MBA, directs the Foundation’s fundraising efforts, works with the board of trustees to advance its mission, and supervises the awarding of doctoral scholarships, fellowships, and research grants.

Malm has worked with the Foundation for more than 4 years, most recently serving as the deputy executive director. Prior to joining the Foundation staff, she worked as a nonprofit consultant and business owner.

Malm received her MBA from Daniels College of Business – University of Denver. She also received a nonprofit management executive certificate from Georgetown University.

The Foundation is a national, independent nonprofit organization that aims to improve the quality and delivery of physical therapy care by providing support for scientifically based and clinically relevant physical therapy research and doctoral scholarships and fellowships.
