At the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA’s) 18th Annual National Student Conclave (NSC) at the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, October 29-31, 2010, PT will have an opportunit to learn about the latest PT research and techniques.

"This is an exciting time to be entering the physical therapy profession," said APTA student assembly president Allie Wehunt, SPT, in the press release.

"National Student Conclave will provide a unique opportunity for students to build a nationwide network and expand their knowledge through educational programming and exhibit hall resources. It’s a superb way for students to get a jump start on their careers."

Seminars will focus on areas of physical therapy specialization, including aquatics, cardiovascular and pulmonary physical therapy, clinical electrophysiology and wound management, hand rehabilitation, neurology, orthopedics, pediatrics, sports physical therapy, and women’s health.

Sessions will also include advocacy for legislation, private practice, business aspects of physical therapy, clinical education standards, cultural competency, and other clincal managment classes.
