Hanger Foundation has completed its first round of 2021 Empowerment Grants, awarding a total of $120,000 to 14 different non-profit organizations, it reports in a news release.

Since the first grant award to Angel City Games in May 2015, the Foundation has donated nearly $1.5 million to 80 organizations. Grant recipients include local and national organizations serving a variety of communities, including repeat award recipients as well as new recipients.

Congratulations to the 2021 Hanger Foundation Empowerment Community Grant Recipients:

In addition to the 13 community grants, Hanger Foundation has awarded an Empowerment Signature Grant to Camp No Limits, the release continues.

Camp No Limits strives to be the leading camp for young people with limb loss or limb difference in the United States. Camp No Limits encourages families to attend with their loved one, and provides campers with education, peer support, and physical and occupational therapy. Camp No Limits’ ultimate goal is to help campers feel a sense of belonging, make life-long friends, and know that they are capable of achieving their dreams.

To date, Hanger Foundation has been able to send over 5,000 families to Camp No Limits. In addition to the financial contribution, Hanger employees volunteer their time to help staff the camps and provide encouragement and support to the campers.

The mission of the Hanger Foundation is to advance its communities by supporting 501c3 organizations that help people with physical challenges live life as fully as possible.
