The inaugural Abilities International Accessibility Conference will take place March 26–27, 2026 in Long Beach, California, alongside the Abilities Expo.

This new industry conference has been created to bring together the professionals shaping the future of Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) and accessibility. Clinicians, Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs), suppliers, manufacturers, technicians, and policy leaders will gather for two days of focused learning, collaboration, and practical insight.

Across the conference, attendees will hear from respected experts including Jean Minkel, Wayne Grau, Rachel Hibbs, Elizabeth Soles, Dan Fedor and Lee Ann Hoffman, alongside leaders from organizations such as the International Seating Symposium (ISS), NCART, U.S. Rehab, and RESNA.

The program is designed to deliver practical knowledge that attendees can immediately apply in their work. Sessions will explore key topics including wheelchair skills training, seating and mobility evaluation, assistive technology innovation, policy developments and strategies to improve clinical outcomes. Attendees will also have the opportunity to earn IACET-approved CEUs, supporting their ongoing professional development.

One of the unique elements of the event is its co-location with Abilities Expo, an established event for the disability community. Conference attendees will have full access to the expo floor, where they can explore assistive technology innovations, connect with end users, and experience adaptive activities that highlight the real-world impact of mobility and accessibility solutions.

By bringing professional education together with the community it ultimately serves, the conference aims to create meaningful conversations that move the industry forward.

This inaugural event represents an opportunity for professionals across the accessibility and CRT ecosystem to come together in one place, share knowledge, and shape the future of the field.

Registration is still open for those looking to join the conversation in Long Beach.
