Individuals with disabilities may not have been the population software developers were originally targeting for some apps, but smart technology is quickly being adopted among individuals with disabilities, their families, and service providers as solutions to everyday challenges.

The June 20, 2011 issue of OT Practice examines mobile apps for individuals with cognitive and behavioral issues.  

The technology-focused issue also explores how occupational therapy practitioners use electronic devices as part of high school transition programs. And, the “In the Clinic” section shows how OT helps young adults establish effective electronic multitasking for increased productivity in daily living.
