New officers were recently elected to the National Association for the Support of Long Term Care (NASL) Board of Directors for the 2011-2012 term. The election took place during a special meeting of the Board of Directors on November 3, 2011.

Newly elected officers of the Association include Dan Cobb, HealthMEDX, Inc who will serve as president, Robert Minicucci, Health System Services, Ltd will be vice president of Medical Products Committee, and Martha Shaker of Concept Rehab Inc will take on the role of treasurer. Rounding out the group of the officers is newly elected secretary, Garry Pezzano of Genesis Rehab Services and Cindy Susienka, Aegis Therapies who will serve as immediate past president.

Re-elected board members are Chris Castel, Accelerated Care Plus Corp, Guy Cowart of Consconus Healthcare Services, Robert Davis, Optimus EMR, Traci Jersen, 6N Systems Inc, Jack MacDonald, American Health Care Association and Maria Moen, Brookdale Senior Living.

Cynthia Morton, NASL’s executive vice president articulates the Association’s fortune for a Board of Directors, “That will provide leadership for the support services of the long term and post-acute care profession and guide the organization’s development,” Morton says. 

The newly elected officers and board members will join existing board members.

NASL operates a trade association of ancillary providers of products and services to the post-acute industry. The organization represents its members on Capitol Hill and regulatory issues that impact the quality of long term and post-acute care for patients.
