Envision is shifting the format for Envision Conference East, a multi-disciplinary gathering for the sharing of information pertaining to low vision research and rehabilitation, to a live-stream webinar occurring August 14-15, 2020, it announces.

In addition to creating a safer environment in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, the virtual format will facilitate participation in Envision Conference for professionals from around the world. The 2-day agenda includes 16 hours of education and research sessions and makes participants eligible to receive up to 16 continuing education units (CEUs) from the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals (ACVREP), the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), the Council on Optometric Practitioner Education (COPE) and the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC).

First held in 2006, Envision Conference presents insights into low-vision research and rehabilitation for a multi-disciplinary audience including optometrists, ophthalmologists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation therapists, licensed visual therapists, vision researchers, nurses, special education teachers, community agency personnel, government policymakers, rehabilitation engineers, teachers of the visually impaired, assistive technology practitioners and suppliers, and others aligned with the eye health, eye care and related therapy fields.

Program attendees will have the opportunity to network with professionals across disciplines, learn about new developments, earn continuing education credits and more.
