Wellness-based telehealth services provider TeleWellnessMD announces that it is adding services to its online platform, TeleWellnessMD.com.

Brent Agin, MD, its founder and CEO states in a company news release that it is “adding telehealth solutions for preventative medicine and wellness healthcare” to its offerings.

Visitors to TeleWellnessMD will now be able to request a wellness consultation with a TeleWellnessMD provider and obtain an e-prescription, without visiting a doctor’s office.

“As more consumers have adopted telemedicine as a healthcare option and e-healthcare becomes more widespread, we are growing our physician network, expanding our product and service offerings, and elevating standards of client service,” Agin adds, in the release.

The site also now offers basic and comprehensive lab panels and will soon provide options for methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) testing, micronutrient testing as well as new wellness products and packages including fibromyalgia treatment protocols, the release explains.

TeleWellnessMD, launched in 2014, provides personalized wellness plans for weight management, disease prevention, and anti-aging to assist clients with managing vitamin and nutrient deficiencies, hormone imbalance, immune support, athletic performance improvement, antioxidant support, inflammation reduction, improved sleep quality, energy improvement through metabolic enhancement, and general wellness support for most medical conditions.

Since it does not provide primary care medical services, all TeleWellnessMD clients must be at least 18 years old and maintain an established relationship with a primary care physician with routine checkups, the release adds.

The TeleWellnessMD wellness programs are individualized to each client and may include laboratory testing, per the release.
