Ride Designs announces the 3D Printed Ride Custom Back – RCB200. Utilizing the very latest in 3D printing technology, the RCB200 loads all the essential features of the Ride Custom Back into a modern design clinicians, suppliers and consumers will love. Users of the Back will benefit from the improvements made to the cover design which allow it to be easily removed and laundered. Suppliers can take advantage of a simplified shell design – the 3D printing technology has resulted in elimination of the inner shell, resulting in easier in-field modifications.
A colossal win for the environment, 3D printing the Ride Custom Back eliminates virtually all the waste related to the legacy manufacturing process. CRT clinicians, suppliers, and consumers will appreciate the accuracy and quality assurance brought by the application of state-of-the-art 3D printing technology.
“Years of research and development by the talented team of innovators at Ride has paid off in such a huge way,” says Joe Bieganek, Ride Designs president. “We are very excited about the efficiencies offered by this technology and about passing those efficiencies along to our customers and their clients.”
About Ride Designs
Ride Designs is a manufacturer of wheelchair seating cushions and backs whose products are backed by both university-level research and years of clinical application. The design of Ride products is based on the orthotic and prosthetic principles of off-loading at-risk bony prominences, while safely supporting those parts of the body that can tolerate contact. This strategy aids in improved postural control, mobility and skin care — with potential results well beyond those of traditional wheelchair cushions. The on-site Aspen Seating Clinic provides a unique industry-exclusive opportunity to further develop and prove Ride Designs’ products.
Ride Designs is a branch of Aspen Seating LLC.
