Pride Mobility Products Corp, Exeter, Pa, introduces quick response barcode (QR Code) technology to its marketing materials, which delivers product-focused content to the mobile market.

A QR Code is a matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code), readable by QR scanners, mobile phones with a camera, and Smartphones.

The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on white background. The information encoded can be text, URL, or other data.

Marketing materials for the company’s newest products feature the QR Code, which can be scanned to reveal video content via a mobile phone with a camera or Smartphone. Materials for the Q6 Edge, Jazzy Select Elite, Pursuit, Synergy cushions and backs, and TRU-Balance power positioning systems include a unique feature video accessible via the barcode.

The QR Code and product content generated a great deal of interest when they were debuted at Medtrade, with many attendees inquiring about the technology and its special marketing applications.

“The potential to gain advertising cost efficiencies with this new technology is enormous,” says Dick McLane, general manager of product marketing. “At the show we took the opportunity to educate providers on the exciting, interactive advertising applications QR Code can deliver.”
