The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation Paralysis Resource Center (PRC) will be hosting a webinar on how to transition back into the workplace after sustaining a spinal cord injury. The webinar will take place February 26 from 12 to 1 pm EST.
Titled “Transitioning Success: Reentering the Workforce After Disability,” the webinar—sponsored by the Reeve Foundation—will address common concerns of transitioning back into the workforce, such as where to find support, training, and vocational rehabilitation services to help obtain and keep a job while living with a spinal cord injury.
By the end of the session, users will feel confident in identifying the five steps of employment services available during a job search, choosing the employment network or service to fit their needs, mapping a strategy for the interview process, developing a list of tools for a job search, and setting goals for returning to the workforce.
Hosting the session will be Mike Sanders, the Director of Marketing and Communications for NTI, a non-profit focused on placing Americans with disabilities and disabled Veterans in call centers, customer service, and IT help desk jobs that can be done from home. Sanders has more than 20 years of experience in advocacy and marketing strategy, as well as a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
