According to a recent news release, the 9th edition of “Medical Fair Asia 2012” will occupy 50% more exhibit space in all three halls located on the 6th level of the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre. The event is slated to run from September 12, 2012 to September 14, 2012. A reported 500 exhibitors from 35 nations will demonstrate the latest technologies in equipment and supplies for the hospital, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, medical, and rehabilitation sectors.

Messe Düsseldorf Asia will organize the event and its international line-up of leading medical and health care players from around the world. To accommodate the medical technology segment of the event, Messe Düsseldorf Asia will add “Medical Manufacturing Asia”, an exhibition that demonstrates the processes for medical technology. The exhibit will be co-located and run in tandem with “Medical Fair Asia.” Messe Düsseldorf Asia and the Singapore Precision Engineering & Tooling Association (SPETA) will jointly organize the event.

Gernot Ringling, managing director of Messe Düsseldorf Asia, explains that the expansion of the exhibitions stems from, “The continually increasing participation and attendance at ‘Medical Fair Asia’ with record numbers at the last staging in 2010, coupled with booming medical and health care industry in Asia.” Ringling adds that the growth, “Is a clear indication of the growing need for a trade fair specifically dedicated to Asia’s medical and health care sectors.”
