An eye-tracking product available through Tobii ATI is engineered to provide users hands-free access to Windows 8 Pro tablets. The Tobii EyeMobile is designed to provide individuals with physical and communication impairments the ability to navigate, control, and access apps, Internet, music, e-books, social media, and games through natural movement of the eyes.
The product is comprised of the Tobii PCEye Go eye tracker, EyeMobile mounting bracket, and standard off-the-shelf Windows 8 Pro tablet of choice. The EyeMobile is powered entirely by the Windows 8 tablet battery and can be used in a range of locations from bed, to the dinner table, to the car, the company says.
The Tobii EyeMobile user interface integrates Tobii Gaze Selection and Windows 8 Functions Overlay, allowing touch gestures, various click types, taps, side swipes, accessing charms and split-screen snapping to be done using only the eyes. Additionally, the company notes, the Windows 8 Gaze Selection provides users access to a variety of social, professional, entertainment, and educational apps.
