Lebanon, Tenn-based Permobil recently hosted its first "Power of You" conference for licensed physical therapists. The event, which took place July 8 through 10 at the Sheraton Music City, Nashville, was designed to challenge and energize physical and occupational therapists to help fight for the end-user in the effort to obtain the appropriate equipment.

With more than 55 attendees and nine presenters, the goal was empowerment through education. Topics of the course lectures ranged from evidence-based practice to the relationship between vision, movement, and posture. Therapists were also treated to the sights and sounds of Music City, as well as a tour of the Permobil facility and wheelchair test track.

According to Tom Rolick, vice president of global sales and marketing at Permobil, “It was inspiring to see the commitment and passion of so many of our industry’s top clinicians on display at the Power of You event. Clinicians are there to take care of their patients, and they cannot do that without the right equipment.

"Together, we will continue to challenge the system to get them the equipment they need and deserve,” he said.

Permobil has been committed to enhancing the lives of the physically challenged for 40 years. Founded in Sweden, Permobil has its North American headquarters in Lebanon, TN. More information regarding the company’s storied history and complete product line can be obtained at www.permobil.com.
